Our big mover in the TOMAmeter this week was NBC’s The Blacklist, which rose by 11 spots to #5 in the rankings following its premiere on Thursday. This matches its highest ranking this year, attained in March, and on par with last season’s premiere week.
Entering the TOMAmeter for the first time is ABC’s new show Quantico. The Priyanka Chophra star vehicle managed to enter the rankings at #11. ABC continues to have a strong fall in the TOMAmeter, with six shows in the top twenty (Scandal, Quantico, Once Upon a Time, How to Get Away With Murder, Modern Family, and Grey’s Anatomy), and several others on the verge of the top twenty (including Blood & Oil, The Muppets, Dancing with the Stars and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
Other shows entering the TOMAmeter this week include Criminal Minds (#17) and American Horror Story (#19). Falling out of the rankings are Dancing with the Stars (previously #14), CSI (previously #18), and The Muppets (previously #19).
As previously mentioned, ABC continues to lead in the TOMAmeter with six shows, followed by CBS, FOX, and NBC with three apiece.
Each week, Ipsos MediaCT TV Dailies seeks to find out what television shows have people talking. Collecting over 5,000 unaided responses among persons ages 13-64, TV Dailies produces a top of mind awareness meter (TOMAmeter) that details the 20 most spontaneously mentioned television shows.
Here are your TOMAmeter results for September 28 – October 4.
