Two of this month’s biggest movers continue to claw toward the top of our rankings as mentions of 2014 FIFA World Cup (#3) and CBS’ Under the Dome (#5) were strong enough to move them up two and five places respectively. With HBO’s Game of Thrones concluding its fourth season a few weeks back, look for one of these to possibly unseat our champion which has been #1 since the beginning of April.
NBC’s Americas Got Talent also had a nice performance, moving up five spots to #9 in our rankings. Joining Americas Got Talent in the Top 10 after missing out of our rankings for a number of weeks was CBS’ Big Brother which returned for its sixteenth season this past week.
For the fourth straight week, FOX’s 24: Live Another Day has declined in our rankings. This week the popular action series saw its biggest hit falling six places to #15 after multiple weeks in our Top 5.
With four programs in the Top 20, CBS was once again the most represented network, marking the sixth consecutive week the network has pulled off this achievement. No other network had more than two programs to crack our rankings.
New programs in our Top 20: CBS’ Big Brother (#10), TNT’s The Last Ship (#11), CW’s Supernatural (#17) and ABC’s Rising Star (#19).
No longer in our Top 20 this week: CBS’ CSI (previously #12) and Criminal Minds (previously #18), ABC’s Once Upon a Time (previously #16) and A&E’s Duck Dynasty (previously #19)
Each week, Ipsos MediaCT TV Dailies seeks to find out what television shows have people talking. Collecting over 5,000 unaided responses among persons ages 13-64, TV Dailies produces a top of mind awareness meter (TOMAmeter) that details the 20 most spontaneously mentioned television shows.
Here are your TOMAmeter results for June 23 – 29.
