TOMAmeter January 13 – 19: Heated Race for the #1 Spot

CBS’ The Big Bang Theory came oh so close to beating out AMC’s The Walking Dead, but the zombie drama survives at the top for another week.

FOX’s American Idol kicked off another season this past week and its premiere propelled the singing sensation into the Top 5 after spending last week at #10. Another FOX program returning to the air was Sleepy Hollow (also up 5 places to #12) and The Following which went from previously unranked to #16 this week.

As the CBS program How I Met Your Mother gears up to say goodbye to its viewers, it also says hello to the Top 20, locking up the last spot in this week’s rankings.

The Golden Globes was popular among respondents 13-64 this week as the award show jumped into the Top 20 landing at #10.

On the opposite side of the spectrum we have CBS’ Intelligence which fell in the rankings from #9 to #13 this week.
