Dr. Namika Sagara is the President of Ipsos’ Behavioral Science Center of Excellence in North America. In this role, Sagara provides strategic counsel to clients to help them use key behavioral economics principles in their market research and marketing.
Sagara has more than 15 years of experience using scientific approaches to understand, predict and influence both rational as well as seemingly “irrational” consumer behaviors across a wide range of industries, including financial, healthcare, pharmaceutical and technology. Prior to joining Ipsos, Sagara was the President of Sagara Consulting LLC. She has also taught marketing and research methods courses at the University of Oregon and holds a visiting research position at Duke University.
Sagara’s work has been published in prestigious peer-reviewed academic journals and she has appeared in numerous media outlets, such as the Guardian, CBS Money Watch and Science Daily. She also frequently delivers keynote speeches at international conferences and workshops for market research and marketing professionals.
Sagara received her B.S. and M.S. in Psychology and Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Oregon, and was a Post-Doctoral Associate at Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
